    Pompano Beach - The Perfect Getaway

    If ever in a quandary about where to go for some fun and eternal sunshine, keep in mind traveling to Pompano Beach, FL is well worth a trip. Known as “the Heart of the Gold Coast,” Pompano Beach has year-round gorgeous weather to help make all those fun-filled activities all the more enjoyable.

    Each year, thousands of families, friends and lovebirds flock to this heavenly slice of Florida and for good reason. There are endless hours of things to do besides stroll along the miles of gold sandy beaches. Located in Broward County, Pompano Beach hosts several annual events including the Pompano Beach Seafood Festival, Pompano Beach Holiday Boat Parade and St. Coleman’s Italian Festival.

    For those who love water sports, there are plenty of charting and fishing boats available to rent. When it comes to an itinerary for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts, Pompano Beach is the “Wreck Capitol’ of the Sunshine State with the majority of wreck dives outside the Hillsboro Inlet. There are numerous ship wrecks and long stretches of natural coral reefs to explore.

    Over at the Festival Flea Market Mall, shoppers are privy to an incredible variety of merchandise and deals. Anything from a large selection of footwear at the 9.99 Shoe Place to booking your next high sea adventure with Cruise One can be found at the mall. The Festival Flea Market Mall is opened seven days a week and is only closed on Thanksgiving Day. Two other added attractions are the weekend concerts and the Holiday Car Show held every December.

    Other points of interest include the Pompano Beach Art Gallery and the Ely Educational Museum, along with more than 50 parks to picnic and play outdoor sports. The public is welcome to visit the Goodyear Blimp Base where rides are available by invitation whenever the blimp is in town. Crowned the winter capital of harness racing, fans of Harness and Thoroughbred Racing, Jai-Alai Games and Greyhound Racing can trot over to the Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park. The action continues at the Isle Casino with live entertainment, 1,500 slots and 38 live action poker tables. In addition, the Isle features Farraddays, Farmers Pick Buffet, Bragazzo and a few other restaurants as part of their lively environment.

    Pompano Beach Air Park offers services such as: taxi/charter, scenic rides and aircraft rental. Antique collectors can visit The Sugar Chest Antique Mall on Federal Highway where over 200 antique dealers are ready to delight them.

    Nightlife is vibrant with art and wine walks along the arcade at Harbor Village Shoppes, along Atlantic Blvd and the new promenade.

    Day or night, life is good at Pompano Beach.
