    Meet the Pompano Racing Family

For the past half-century, harness racing at Isle® Casino Racing Pompano Park has meant exciting races from October through June. Top-ranked trotters and pacers, aided by award-winning drivers and trainers hit the track each season. Considered the “Winter Capital of Horse Racing,” Pompano Park also offers extensive simulcasting of races from more than 20 venues across North America. Harness, thoroughbred and greyhound races, as well as jai alai games are shown seven days a week from noon to midnight (with the exception of Christmas Day).

Great racing has been happening for years, but new changes are in bloom at the Isle. Meet the new mayor of the racing capital… Mr. Brett Revington. The new Director of Racing originally hails from the harness racing hotbed of Lucan, Ontario, Canada. Growing up in the shadow of one of Canada’s top harness racing breeders, Seelster Farms , Brett was born to run the races. He comes from a family that has owned racehorses for three generations.

This veteran of the harness racing industry, who still holds his race secretary license, has dedicated his attention to bringing the highest quality of racing entertainment and customer service to Southern Florida.

Since taking over at Pompano Park, Revington has brought back the popular Pick-5, which offers a nightly guaranteed pool of $2,500. “The wager was a hit with our fans when it was first introduced,” said Revington.

Revington also cut the previous $1 minimum bet in half for the Pick-4, which spans from the fifth through eighth races on each live racing night.

Prior to joining our team at the Isle, Revington spent over three years as Racing Manager for Red Shores Racetrack and Casino in Prince Edward Island, Canada. During his tenure there, Revington oversaw daily operations at the Charlottetown Driving Park and Summerside Raceway.

Revington loves being around his race fans which is what brought him to also serve as cage and count manager throughout his career. Prior to his work at Red Shores, Revington served as Assistant Race Manager for the Western Fair Association (WFA) in Ontario.

Prior to his work as race manager, he spent a two-year stint as an Associate Judge with the Ontario Racing Commission (ORC). With the ORC, he enforced racing rules, ruled in violation hearings and testified during the Commission’s hearings.

The 45-year-old Revington graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Business Administration and got his professional start away from the harness racing world, beginning in banking. From there, he moved across the pond to manage Domino’s Pizza operations in Dublin, Ireland, before then moving on to Woodbine Entertainment.

Revington and his wife of 12 years, Karen, are the proud parents of nine-year-old Brooklyn and six-year-old Zachary. The family lives in the South Florida area. Welcome Brett!
