A New Bragozzo® Menu for a New Season
Isle® Casino’s favorite spot for classic, high-end Italian dining in a comfortable atmosphere is…Bragozzo®. It is known for its traditional cooking techniques and wood-burning kitchen construction that brings out excellence in flavor. Bragozzo also boasts a wide selection of Mediterranean-inspired dishes that include locally grown arugula, tomatoes, eggplant, rosemary and fresh basil.
Bragozzo was awarded the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and has a carefully selected list of wines for their quality, so be sure to request a wine list and don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. Bragozzo's staff will gladly offer recommendations as requested. In addition the restaurant was awarded the 2014 and 2015 Open Table® Diner’s Choice Award.
So what’s the best part about the place? The menu of course! Recently updated and better than ever! Let’s take a look.
Bragozzo's starter menu includes salads such as beet and arugula salad which comes with heirloom beets, goat cheese, toasted pistachio nuts, and arugula, which are tossed in aged balsamic and extra virgin olive oil. Yum! For something more classic, consider the Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, toasted focaccia croutons, garlic chips, grana padano and classic Caesar dressing. For those looking for a variety, the Tri-Color and Gorgonzola salad comes with radicchio, endive and romaine lettuce, along with toasted walnuts, gorgonzola and sliced apples which get tossed in lemon vinaigrette. Seafood-lovers are in for a treat when they order the Mediterranean, which comes with shrimp, scallops, lump crab, calamari, Gaeta olives, pepperoncini and shaved celery —tossed in lemon and extra virgin olive oil. For aromatic lovers, the Italiana salad comes with shaved fennel, local greens, onions, tomatoes, pepperoncini, garbanzos and balsamic vinaigrette.
On the Smaller Side:
Smaller plates include a great selection of appetizer orders, including the fried calamari, shrimp cocktail, grilled octopus, baked clams and pan steamed mussels. If you're looking for something more traditional, order the grilled eggplant rollatini or the house-made meatballs.
Bragozzo ensures the best Italian dining experience with their pasta specialties, including linguine and clams and oven-baked lasagna. Try the Cavatelli Bragozzo, which is a special ricotta pasta dumpling in Bolognese sauce, or the gnocchi gorgonzola, which comes with toasted walnuts, dried figs and crispy pancetta. Plenty of classic pasta specials are available to choose from, including the farfalle and salmon ala vodka, the orecchiette salsiccia, and spaghetti carbonara.
The Flat Stuff:
What's Italian food without the pizza and flatbreads? For vegetarians, the roasted vegetable flatbread is recommended. It comes with tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, peppers and onions. A classic margherita pizza is also available, with San Marzano and plum tomatoes. For fig-lovers, the fig and prosciutto flatbread is available with caramelized onions, prosciutto, sliced figs and ricotta. The kale and meatball bianca pizza comes with fontina besciamella, Tuscan kale, and house-made meatballs. For herb and cheese lovers, go with the quattro formaggi, which combines fontina, mozzarella, ricotta and parmesan cheese with local herbs.
Bragozzo also boasts a great seafood selection. The Branzino dish is a pan roasted sea bass with lemon, oregano, capers, saffron and roasted artichoke risotto. The lobster Francaise comes with lemon butter sauce, wilted spinach and capellini pasta. The scampi is more classic with white wine sautéed shrimp, butter, garlic, parsley and house-made tagliatelle.
For more selections on a main course, you have a choice between a veal and chicken scaloppine. You can request your veal or chicken made in any of the following ways: the piccata which is sautéed with lemon, capers, parsley and butter; the parmesan, which is lightly breaded with pomodoro and cheeses; the marsala which is a rich brown sauce; portabella and marsala; or the Milanese, which is lightly breaded and comes with arugula salad and grana padano. Each order comes with a choice of these excellent side dishes: fried zucchini, saffron scented risotto with roasted artichokes, sautéed Tuscan kale and roasted garlic, broccolini with fried fennel and ricotta salata, Tuscan-style roasted fingerling potatoes, baby spinach and garlic with extra virgin olive oil, grilled portobello mushrooms and Vidalia onions. Or have a side of pasta, such as capellini pomodoro, fettucine alfredo or linguine in oil and garlic.
Bragozzo offers more main course selections, such as the filet boscaiola, which is a 7 oz. filet mignon with wild mushroom-marsala sauce; the 12 oz. rib eye which is scented with rosemary; the 7 oz. Atlantic salmon filet, which comes with heirloom tomatoes, capers and sliced garlic; the 7 oz. grouper filet, which comes with Tuscan kale and roasted garlic aioli; a 6 oz. lobster tail; or the jumbo scallops, which come with baby spinach.
