Do you remember planting trees or seedlings in celebration of Earth Day as a kid? Well, you may be looking for something a bit more exciting to do on April 22. Luckily, there are tons of Earth Day events in South Florida that will leave you feeling good for helping out!

    Enjoy the Scenery at SoundWaves
The Prism Creative Group is hosting an all-out Earth Day celebration: SoundWaves at Marina PARC. The free event will feature live performances from local bands, such as Locos Por Juana, DJ NHM a.k.a Nadia Harris, and Agape. Plenty of cocktails and craft beers will be on sale along with fresh beach-style food. It’ll be a fun event with friendly, laid-back vibes. The party begins at 6:00pm!

OM Your Way Through Earth Day
Of all the Earth Day events in South Florida, the Earth Decoded event might be the most relaxing. Inhale Miami is hosting Earth Decoded on April 23 from 2pm to 10pm. The goal? To gain a sense of renewal and realignment with the earth. You can expect a schedule that includes events like yoga and a Conscious Channel session with Will I AM. Plus, throughout the day there will be live music, art, and vendors selling jewelry, crafts, and food.

    All-Encompassing Festival
Can't decide on the best way to spend Earth Day? Consider attending Heal the Planet Day in Fort Lauderdale. It's being held by Heal the Planet on April 22 from 11am to 5pm at Esplanade Park. Scheduled activities include "The Farmer and the Chef" cooking competition where local chefs get paired with local farmers for a vegetarian cooking stand-off; a farming resource zone where farmers will give demonstrations and education about composting and gardening; and a movement zone with short exercise classes like yoga, Pilates, and dance.

Sit Back and Enjoy the 4earth Mini Film Festival
The Miami Seaquarium is hosting an Earth Day festival unlike any other. The free mini film festival is on Friday, April 21. A screen will be set up on the field overlooking Biscayne Bay where four Beneath the Waves short films will be presented. The films will focus on the theme of marine life and the environment under the sea. Guests can bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics. Doors open at 7:30pm with the first film beginning at 8pm.
